Bob Miller
Bob Miller has spent most of his 48 years pursuing the masculine arena of sports, the feminine realm of mysticism, and the balanced art of writing. He has instructed students in writing for several years at the university level, has presented academic papers at conferences and written numerous freelance pieces for business.
A near-fatal car accident when he was eighteen led to an out-of-body episode, commonly termed a "near-death experience", that permanently altered his view of the nature of physical reality. He views the brain hemispheres as metaphors for a duality within our consciousness that can only be reconciled by accepting fully the masculine and feminine characteristics within each of us, male or female.
He is currently finishing his first novel, Pseudopods of God, which will be published in 2008. He lives in North Texas with his wife and two children who constantly challenge his preconceived notions about being a parent, but in a good way. When asked how he reconciles his disparate passions of sports, metaphysics and brain science, he answers:
"I'm still workin' it out!"
